The Volleyball Fine Print

Joe Sensers offers recreational programs for the enjoyment of it's customers.  The philosophy of all of it's programs is for fun, entertainment & skill development.

Three Contacts - Each team is allowed a maximum of 3 successive contacts of the ball in order to return the ball to the opponents area (a block does not count as a contact).  A female must play the ball if a guy contacts the ball more than one time in an offensive action.

If your team can not field a full 6 person team, you may play with less people.

  • A team can play with one more male player than female players. Teams with 4 men and 2 women are not allowed. When ball is played more than once by a team, a female player shall make at least one of the contacts.

You will be asked to fill out a roster at the beginning of the season.  If a player is not on your roster, they will not be allowed to play for your team.

Nobody likes to win by forfeit!  If your team forfeits a match during any season, the following rules apply.

1st offense:  Loss of games scheduled for that day

2nd offense: Loss of games scheduled for that day and staff reserves the right to exclude team from any playoffs

3rd offense:  Removal from league with out refund.

If you know in advance that your team will forfeit a game, we encourage you to call us as soon as you know so we can try to schedule your opponent a game.
